Colors Of Venice Watercolor Painting

Venice will always be one of my favorite places to paint because it is so exotic and colorful. I love painting the reflections in the canals and the ever present gondolas. It was the sunlight and shadow that inspired me to paint this scene. In Venice the shadows are full of color and the canals reflect all the colors from the buildings which drop right into the water. The gentle movement of the gondolas stirs up the reflections and makes them even more interesting. It’s no wonder so many artists are attracted to this magnificent city.
